5 Guys Reveal The Secrets They've Never Told Their Girlfriends

by Zara Barrie

I tell my girlfriends pretty much everything. Maybe that's part of my problem with relationships.

If I love them, I tell them. If I think I could fall in love with them, I tell them. If I'm hopelessly in love with them, I tell them. And if I'm no longer in love with them, I tell them.

I suffer from an honesty condition; I overshare.

On the first date with my current girlfriend, I apparently told her I was weaning myself off antidepressants as casually as I would have told her that I took a taxi instead of the train (I don't remember this, but I totally believe it).

One time, I told a first date I still wasn't over an ex because I just couldn't stop myself. I don't know if it's a lesbian thing to be completely and utterly honest (women tend to fiercely tell the truth to one another), OR if it's just a Zara thing.

But men tend to keep things from women, historically speaking.

Maybe it's because there is so much pressure on them to be ~masculine~ that divulging real feelings is totally NOT an option. Whatever the case, I feel for men.

So I went and researched on good ole' Reddit for what men confess to hiding from their girlfriends. I'm proud to say I could not relate (hence why it takes a special kind of animal to date me and all my messy honesty).

Here's what men tend to hide from their girlfriends, in their own words:

I've never dated sisters, but this guy clearly has.

Nor have I dated or fucked my stepsister (I don't have one, but still wouldn't even if I did).

He tried her butt plugs to see if they actually hurt.

This guy told a little lie about his ~experience~ in the bed department.

And this guy can't find the courage to reveal his true feelings.

So, what are you keeping from your significant other?
