John Stamos Helps Guy Propose To Uncle Jesse-Obsessed GF In Fantastic Video
When Doug Cox of San Francisco decided to propose to his girlfriend, Katrina Firenze, he decided to enlist the help of one man and one man only: John Stamos, AKA Uncle Jesse from "Full House."
You see, in his own words, Cox's girlfriend has a pretty serious "John Stamos Problem." And as a result, Cox himself has a "John Stamos Problem."
The problem here is that his girlfriend absolutely LOVES John Stamos.
I mean, check out this image of Cox posing with an actual framed photo of Uncle Jesse that's been hanging in his home for the past three years.
So obviously, when the time came to propose to his girlfriend, Cox knew he had no choice but to type out an email to none other than John Stamos. He started out by saying,
Let me just start by throwing a number at ya. 34 percent, John. 34 percent. That is the percentage of space the entire 'Full House' series takes up on my DVR.
He then went on to explain his predicament to dear, old Johnny Boy:
My girlfriend, Katrina, is the most amazing human being I've ever met. She's kind, she's genuine, she can win over a room in seconds. I want to marry this woman, but there's a brick wall in the way: a 6-foot-tall Greek God with better hair than me. And, John, I have fantastic hair.
Much to my surprise — and I assume to the surprise of anyone who's ever tried to write John Stamos any sort of fan mail — JOHN ANSWERED in an adorable video:
As you can imagine, Firenze FREAKED OUT at the recording of Stamos reading her boyfriend's proposal email out loud.
And honestly, John's not playing it that cool either. He's all ABOUT the thought of her marrying Cox.
After reading Cox's email, John said,
From what I see here on this email that you sent, you're a handsome man. Nice hair, a beard, beautiful blue eyes. Katrina, I would say yes to young Doug. So I guess this is me asking you to marry him, and I hope you do it.
Yep, that's right. HER DREAM CELEBRITY CRUSH JUST ASKED HER TO MARRY HER BOYFRIEND WHOM SHE LOVES.
Just look at her absolutely losing her mind in the bottom right corner of the screen. It literally looks like she's trying to shoot her arms across the screen and grab John's face. And I can't even blame her for it.
Needless to say, SHE SAID YES.
And obviously, she also made a "have mercy" joke because, I mean, how could she not?
I am very excited for this adorable couple and can't wait for them to have their own little DJ, Stephanie and Michelle running around the house.
