Tiffany & Co.’s Great Gatsby Gems

by Ally Batista

If you haven’t heard by now, Tiffany & Co had the pleasure and privilege of specifically designing pieces used in Baz Luhrmann’s rendition of The Great Gatsby, due out this May.

What a perfect pair! Tiffany & Co is easily the most iconic and class American jewelry company, and Gatsby’s 1920’s setting absolutely needed some Tiffany created designs.

Lucky for all of you consumers, Tiffany & Co’s newest collection, Blue Book, features some pieces that were featured in the film. Inspired by the Jazz Age, and of course, created specifically for Gatsby, the collection boasts bracelets, earrings and headpieces, all completed with a 1920s art deco flair.

Unfortunately, unless you plan on taking out a second mortgage on your home, the chances that of all of our readers will be able to afford any of the items in the collection are slim to none.

With some of the pieces being priced in the millions range, these incredible pieces are certainly meant to be adored… from a distance.

My favorite piece:

A headpiece of diamonds and freshwater cultured pearls set in platinum with a detachable broach, $200,000. From the Great Gatsby Collection.
