As seniors in high school, we all dream of moving away to college and finally live on our own. There are many reasons for this, but the majority of them having something to do with going out and partying.

College is the time to get out and experiment, have fun, and not have a care in the world. Drink, party, do you, because you only have one shot to live your life like this. But is that the right thing to do?

A new study, which has been tracked by researchers at the University of Michigan and the University of California at Merced for the past five years, finds that the women who partied in college, had big implications on their careers.

Two women who were part of the study originally entered college wanting to be dentists. One studied and stayed low key, while the other partied more. The woman who stayed lower key, got into dental school, and the other became just a dental assistant, which doesn’t even require a college degree.
