5 Dreamy Sephora Arrivals That Will Make You Blow Your Paycheck This Weekend

Kylah Benes-Trapp

All religions need a place of worship. For me, it's Sephora.

Sephora has always been my version of Mecca. I pray to the altar of Kat Von D lipstick, worship Marc Jacobs eyeliner and have a shrine dedicated to Make Up For Ever blush. Basically, every time I enter Sephora it's a religious experience.

I might've just paid rent, but that doesn't mean I can't make a trip down to my holy land after work. Here's what you need in your cart, ASAP.

1. Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, Sol de Janeiro, $45

Kylah Benes-Trapp

What it is: A cream for your bum bum. Just kidding, you can use it all over your body.

What it feels like: This stuff smells like happiness. Thick, goopy buttercream-textured happiness. If you're a fan of Kiehl's Creme de Corps body butter, this is a similar texture.

Why you need it: Because repeatedly saying “bum bum cream” is the most fun you'll have all week.

2. Color Correcting Stick, Smashbox, $23

Kylah Benes-Trapp

What it is: A pencil intended to brighten and lighten. The lavender helps lift dullness, while the green diminishes redness.

How to use: I personally like using the purple around my nose and under my eyes, two dark areas that can always benefit from a bit of extra light. The green, however, works wonders on my post-workout beet-red cheeks.

Why you need it: Because if you've always wanted to rub Crayola crayons all over your face, this is the next best thing.

3. Citrine, NEST, $68

Kylah Benes-Trapp

What it is: The flirty, spring perfume your vanity needs.

What it smells like: Pretend you spent a summer day rolling around in a field of orange blossoms, then hit up a forest. It's a mix of woodsy, floral and citrus, but still low-key enough to wear at work without your desk mate glaring at you out of the corner of her eye.

Why you need it: Your spring dresses need a perfume to match.

4. Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad, Kat Von D, $26

Kylah Benes-Trapp

What it is: The quad of your un-contoured eye dreams.

How to use: Use the left shade as an all-over base, define your eye with the sage green, build the contour and blend with the warm matte brown. Contour with the shade closest to the right.

Why you need it: If contouring your ears, cheekbones, nose and jawline wasn't enough for you, your eyelids need to get in on the action.

5. Skin Dew, Farmacy, $44

Kylah Benes-Trapp

What it is: An all-natural face mist and setting spray.

What it does: It smells herbal and clean and feels refreshing. It also motivated me to eat something healthy for lunch, which is a win.

Why you need it: To keep by your desk for midday spritzing.

Bye-bye, paycheck, hello beauty happiness.
