There are so many exciting things happening in the fashion and entertainment industry this upcoming month of May. One of which, I’ve been waiting for since early last year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s exhibit.

The upcoming exhibit is called “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” and it features images and pieces of fashion that were inspired by the punk movement. To coincide with this amazing exhibit, Moda Operandi has tapped 12 high fashion designers and brands to create a limited edition punk-inspired capsule collection.

Moda Operandi’s cofounder Lauren Santo Domingo said that the collection will “offer women the opportunity to capture the spirit of punk with pieces that balance high fashion and rebellion,” according to WWD.

The collection features pieces such as t-shirts hand-studded with spikes from Eddie Borgo, a chiffon and leather cape by Givenchy and two corseted Vivienne Westwood tartan dresses.

The collection includes apparel, accessories and objets d’art designed by Rodarte, House of Waris, Moschino, Prabal Gurung, Thom Browne, Preen, Balmain, Dole & Gabbana and Ek Thongprasert.

The collection will go on sale on May 2, just in time for the opening of the Met Ball on May 6.
