Miranda Kerr Clears Up VS Angel Rumors

by Ally Batista

Earlier this week there was a lot of speculation as to whether or not Miranda Kerr was fired from Victoria’s Secret. On top of those burning questions, the public wondered what the reason would be, if she was in fact fired.

In my opinion, Miranda Kerr is one of the most beautiful and captivating of all the Victoria’s Secret Angels. I anticipate seeing her more than any other Angel, even though I’m not a huge fan of the whole Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in the first place.

Rumors of her leaving Victoria’s Secret said that she drew lower sales for the brand and was “difficult” to work with. Just as I expected her to, Kerr has taken the initiative to speak up on the issue, and clear the air.

The reasons are not because she is difficult to work with (a career ruining rumor) but because she can’t commit to the program any longer:

“The thing is, I’ve been modeling since I was 13,” Miranda told the Sydney Morning Herald. “I’m now entering a new phase in my life. I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realized I needed to prioritize my time.”

Exactly what I had thought her answer would be. Being an Angel is most certainly not an easy profession. Miranda says that she would need to commit to a minimum of three months in the Angel role, which is too large a distraction at this stage in her career.

“I’ve reached a point in my career where I’m developing my own opportunities that are really reflective of my passions,” Miranda says. This just goes to show that even with great business opportunities, everyone has priorities of their own, which sometimes outweigh a great opportunity.

Always go with your gut, no matter what.
