A New Kind Of Cooking Oil

We use all different types of oils in cooking, with olive oil being the most commonly used. Whether you’re quickly marinating, making a salad dressing, or using a small amount to cook with, oil gets used a lot.

Spice up your oil regimen and try incorporating this new kind of oil into your diet: chive oil. Chives are an onion type vegetable that is low in calories and high in vitamins A and C.

Making your own chive oil will add a different, enhanced taste to your food without packing on unnecessary calories.

The recipe is as follows:

1 bunch of chives, roucghly chopped

1 cup of blended canola or vegetable oil

1 tsp. of salt

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

Voila, now you have an added mild but unique taste to your usual foods!
