Interest in Princess Diana, and appreciation for her style, are still very prevalent, even years after the late royal’s tragic and unexpected death. Next week, ten of the late Princesses evening dresses will go up for auction.
This isn’t the first time an auction of this nature has happened. Princess Diana’s fashions inspired a generation of style. She was the modern day Jackie O, and fans everywhere still crave to own a piece of fashion history.
The auction will take place at London’s fashion auction house, Kerry Taylor, and will feature designs by British designers Catherin Walker, Bruce Oldfield, Zandra Rhodes and Victor Edelstein. The dresses are expected to sell between $35,000 and $350,000.
What do you think, should these dresses go up for auction, or should they be kept for her family, who no doubt remember her through pieces such as these?
