The city of Baltimore has been the scene of mass chaos this week after the death of Freddie Gray, a young black man who died of a mysterious spinal injury one week after local police arrested him.

Protests erupted all over the city, leading to 202 arrests, 144 vehicle fires and 19 structural fires. At least six officers were seriously injured in the looting and violence that took place.

Numerous officials and athletes, including former Super Bowl champion and longtime Baltimore Raven's linebacker Ray Lewis, took to social media to condemn the riots.

Lewis, overcome with anger and emotion at the destruction of Baltimore, posted this video to Facebook.

He urges everyone to go home and cease the violence that continues to take place.

I've got a message for the rioters in Baltimore. #BaltimoreRiots
