From the Cavaliers and the Warriors meeting face-to-face for the championship to the countless blockbuster trades no one sees coming, the NBA is an ever-changing landscape of sports goodness that never seems to disappoint.

The most recent news? Kevin Durant is taking his talents to the Golden State Warriors.

According to ESPN, the 2007 first-round draft pick took to The Player's Tribune for his big announcement where he revealed,

This has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life. I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices. What I didn't truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process.

For months, NBA fans everywhere wondered where Kevin Durant would eventually land after his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Was it going to be the Lakers, the Knicks, the Clippers, the Heat? Hell, the Spurs? Nope.

Durant continued,

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player -- as that has always steered me in the right direction.

Then he finally dropped the bomb on us.

With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.

That's gotta sting for loyal OKC fans that have been chasing the dream of winning a championship ring with Durant, Westbrook and the rest of the squad for years now. But hey, nothing lasts forever!

Kevin Durant is officially taking his talents to Oakland, California to chase the dream with point guard Stephen Curry.

The 27-year-old starting forward is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Warriors for $54.3 million after July 7.

So, what do the fans have to say? Check out the hilarious tweets below!

Well, as you can see, there are clearly mixed feelings on Durant's decision but if LeBron did it, so can he.

As for the Warriors' frontman Stephen Curry, I'm sure he's hanging on to his congratulatory tweet until after July 7.
