During yesterday's Panthers-Giants game, New York wideout Odell Beckham Jr. appeared incensed the entire game.

OBJ took cheap shot after cheap shot at Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, and spectators, commentators and coaches alike couldn't figure out why.

Now, though, it appears there's a reason for what we saw on the field Sunday.

According to numerous reports, before yesterday's game, Josh Norman and several other Panthers team members swung a black baseball bat in the direction of a few Giants players, most notably Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham interpreted Norman's actions as a threat implying not just a tough matchup to come, but an actual attempt to cause physical harm.

One report states several Panthers made comments toward OBJ, saying they were going to "beat the sh*t out of him."

Jay Glazer posted a video of Norman swinging a black baseball bat on the field before the game.

Glazer also tweeted further possible evidence as to why Beckham lost his mind during the game.

Sources say Beckham and the other player got into it after a threat to end his day was made. Panthers say no threat was made — Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) December 21, 2015

Probably a good idea to just ditch the whole black baseball bat as a "symbol" thing.

Panthers often use bat as symbol. If a player threatened Beckham with it that's overboard. If it's just an excuse then that's overboard too — Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) December 21, 2015
