Here's How Much Brock Osweiler's 7 Starts Are Worth, Based On His New Deal
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter and a slew of other NFL insiders, it appears former Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler is on his way to the Houston Texans.
Just minutes ago, Schefter tweeted the details of Osweiler's $72-million deal with Houston.
If you're not a math major or don't have a calculator handy, Osweiler's reported contract breaks down to $18 million a year, which according to reports, is just $2 million more than his former team, the Denver Broncos, was willing to offer.
In any event, it appears 25-year-old Osweiler just turned 21 career NFL appearances into $72 million.
What the Arizona State University graduate really did, though, is turn just seven NFL starts into $72 million.
That means -- and I can't believe I'm writing this -- each of Osweiler's seven starts is worth just a shade under $10.3 million.
Let that sink in for a minute.
NFL free agency, folks!
