Bears' Kyle Long Tweets The Most Gruesome Pic Of His Season-Ending Injury

Remember when Chicago Bears' Kyle Long suffered a season-ender against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a couple of weeks ago?

Well, his injury is bad. At least, that's what it looks like in this gruesome tweet he posted recently.

Twitter

It shows the brutal ligament damage he endured on his right ankle. And my god, does it look painful. His entire leg is wrapped in an unwelcome layer of bruises.

He posted it hours before he was due to undergo surgery.

But his fans were relentless and unforgiving in their reactions.

One guy suggested a good bath will do the trick.

Another made the hilarious observation that it actually looks like he's been stomping wine. It does, tbf.

And big man Dakota Moyer had no time for Long's complaining.

Then Long's tweets got increasingly sassy. He got all political when he posted a South Park GIF and wrote,

Getting ready for surgery. When I wake up, I expect all sensitive suit wearers to be moved into their Canadian dwellings.

If this leg mess didn't finish him off, his shoulder injury would have. Long's got to go back into surgery to fix a torn labrum. I don't know what that is without Google — and a Google search tells me it's very painful.

It's gross, but not the worst sports injury we've seen this year.

Have you already forgotten about the Olympics? This French gymnast, in particular.

Sorry to bring it up again, but if you've made it this far then you're probably into this sort of weird stuff anyway.

It was a competition-ender for Samir Ait Said, who was forced to withdraw from the 2016 Rio Olympics.

He was taken to hospital where he posted a video only a few days later to cheer on his team and speak about his ambition to compete again in the 2020 games.
