Netflix Is Getting Rid Of These Classic Disney Movies Really Soon

As Netflix giveth, Netflix taketh away.

With the beginning of each new month, it's disturbingly exciting to see which new TV shows and movies Netflix will be adding to its library.

But when Netflix does this, it also takes away content. This June, it's going to be an extra-desperate situation.

In June, Netflix will be losing Disney classics "Hercules," "Mulan," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II." "Hercules" is gone come June 1, and the rest are only available until June 24.

For someone who may or may not have gotten into a habit of turning on either "Mulan" or "Hercules" while drunk eating at the end of a weekend night, this news is particularly devastating.

I'm not (that) ashamed to admit these timeless '90s Disney movies are the perfect combination of fun and comforting after a night out.

So, what will we turn to when Hercules is no longer around on Netflix to lull us to sleep with his singing about going the distance?

Well, Netflix actually has a few great new options hitting the screens this summer. I literally shrieked seeing "The Sandlot" and probably my favorite movie of all time "Sixteen Candles" are already available to stream. They're both great options for chilling out this summer.

If you want more serious picks for your Netflix-and-chill sessions, you can check out "Spotlight" or "The Big Short." But if you're more fun than that (sorry not sorry), the "Back to the Future" series, first three "Jurassic Park" movies and "The Fast and the Furious" are all making it to Netflix.

And the best news of all? The quintessential Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy "The Wedding Planner" will be making it to Netflix in August.

So, even if we can't watch badass Mulan overcome patriarchal structures to the tune of "I'll Make a Man Out of You," at least we can all watch J Lo awkwardly but wonderfully fall in love with Matthew McConaughey.
