Mallory Carra

Mallory Carra is a former Associate Entertainment News Editor at Bustle, based in Los Angeles. She worked at Bustle from 2014 until late 2019. Mallory oversaw nightly and weekend coverage of entertainment and celebrity breaking news. Specifically, she managed Bustle’s daily entertainment news coverage of casting, music releases, new movie and TV trailers, and celeb happenings, as well as covering LA-based events. Before Bustle, she worked as a staff reporter for the New York Daily News, The News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee. Her bylines have also appeared in The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Trulia, and the Columbia Journalism Review, among many of your other favorite media outlets. Her creative work has received honors from the LA Scripted Comedy Festival, the Final Draft Big Break Contest, the Script Pipeline Screenwriting Contest, and the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. A native of New York City, Mallory has an M.F.A. in screenwriting from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and a B.A. in journalism from New York University.
