What's Coming To Netflix In December? Your Holiday Favorites Are Almost Here

It is almost the holiday season yet again, and you know what that means: quality time with the family. Or more specifically, quality time with the family and the family's Netflix account. This December, Netflix has you covered; it is adding a ton of Christmas favorites to its library for you to stream away while decorating your tree, sipping hot cocoa, or whatever your fam does to celebrate the holidays. Let's go over all the movies and shows coming to Netflix in December right here.

Obviously, the most important new additions are the holiday movies, which include a bunch of old favorites and brand-new movies to get you in the holly jolly spirit. All three of The Santa Clause movies are coming down the chimney and landing onto Netflix on Dec. 12. As everyone with a childhood knows, The Santa Clause is a 1994 comedy about Tim Allen turning into Santa Claus, which yes, is a perfect movie premise. The movie's two sequels — The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause — are also being added on the same day, so you've got the perfect binge session right there. Netflix is also adding a few new original Christmas movies, such as Christmas Inheritance, El Camino Christmas, and DreamWorks Home for the Holidays.

But it's not all holiday stuff coming to Netflix this December. The streaming service is also adding a bunch of other beloved movies, including Eminem's rap drama 8 Mile, Jim Carrey's laugh-out-loud Ace Ventura movies, and Natalie Portman's thriller V for Vendetta. And if you are in the mood for a more recent release, this year's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will crash land on Netflix on Dec. 5. But with all the new goodies coming in, we will sadly have to say goodbye to some beloved shows and movies that are leaving Netflix this month. Holes, Young Frankenstein, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and all 11 seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are a few favorites leaving Netflix in December.
