Widow Hires Exotic Dancers To Perform At Her Husband's Funeral (Video)

by Emily Arata

When you lose a loved one, you typically plan for flower arrangements and a graveside service.

In some parts of Taiwan, however, you also have to hire strippers.

Daily Mail reports a woman named "Mrs. Jian" hired exotic dancers to perform a sexy dance around her husband's casket at Taipei's Taichung Funeral Home.

The phenomenon is fairly common in the area, and it's partially designed to draw crowds of mourners to the funeral. In local lore, the more mourners you have, the better quality afterlife you'll get.

The strippers even have their own method of transportation: "electric flower cars" that are open-air trucks fitted with stripper poles for ease of movement during festivals and funeral processions.

Rest in peace, indeed.
