This Uber Breathalyzer Stand Helps Drunk People Get Free Rides Home (Video)

by Emily Arata

If you're heading out for the night and plan on drinking, you may soon be in luck. As part of a promotion, Uber offered Toronto barhoppers a breathalyzer station that led to a free ride home.

Using a digital interface and straw dispenser created by Stacklab, the Uber Safe stand asked each bystander to take a turn testing his or her breath alcohol concentration.

If the customers were too drunk to drive, Uber called them a car.

An Uber spokesperson told BuzzFeed customers should "stay tuned" to see Uber Safe's next location.
