Colorblind Man Sees Purple For The First Time And Literally Can't Even (Video)

by Gillian Fuller

There are things most of us take for granted: the smell of freshly ground coffee, for instance, or the ability to enjoy our favorite songs.

Now, imagine living life without these little pleasures. You’d survive, but life would be exponentially duller.

Sadly, dullness is a reality for Ethan Scott. Born colorblind, Scott has never been able to see most colors as they are.

The world, in his eyes, exists in shades of grey.

Recently, Scott was given an extraordinary gift: EnChroma glasses, designed specifically to help colorblind people see color.

In the video above, Scott tries the glasses for the first time, not knowing how special they really are.

As he looks around, he realizes what the glasses are for, and, for the first time, he can see the world as it’s meant to be seen.

And in that moment, his life changes.
