Blindfolded Muslim Man Hugs Strangers In Beautiful Social Experiment (Video)

by Gillian Fuller

STHLM Panda recently conducted a social experiment on the streets of Stockholm to measure how people perceive and treat those of Muslim faith.

The video, inspired by previous social experiments in New York and Toronto, had one Muslim volunteer stand on the street, blindfolded, holding a sign that read,

I am Muslim, not the same as a terrorist. Do you trust me? I trust you.

He stood peacefully and silently with his arms outstretched, inviting others to hug him.

He said nothing; strangers reacted upon their free will.

What happens is unexpected and undeniably beautiful. It goes to show as much hate as there is in the world, there is love to drown it out.
