Anglican Church Displays Sign To Wish Muslims A Happy Ramadan (Photo)

by Gillian Fuller

Gosford Anglican Church is at it again.

The Australian house of worship has long been known for its signs, which often display humorous, yet forward-thinking liberal messages in support of hot topics such as gay rights and abortion.

The church's commitment to supporting a myriad of humans rights issues can be attributed to Father Rod Bower, a proudly liberal Anglican with a penchant for speaking his mind.

Yesterday, Father Bower used the church's sign board to wish local Muslims a “Holy Ramadan,” in reference to the month-long Islamic holiday that began on June 17.

Unsurprisingly, many were taken aback by the church's friendly message.

A photo of the sign made its way to Imgur and has since racked up more than 12,000 views.

We have to hand it to Gosford -- this is one church that's doing it right.

Check out the sign below.
