I'd be lying if I said this story didn't scare the crap out of me.

According to reports, a 14-year-old schoolgirl from the Petersfield School in Hampshire, England went online to search for the best place to stab someone in order to kill them.

The young girl cut a smile into her cheeks to look eerily like Heath Ledger in 'The Dark Knight.'

The next morning, the teenager went to school and lured her friend to a quiet, remote place by telling her she had a gift for her.

Once they arrived at a private area within the school's grounds, the 14-year-old girl said to her friend,

Close your eyes and put your hands out.

After uttering those words, the girl reached into her bag and pulled out a knife. Luckily, the 14-year-old's friend started to open her eyes and reacted quickly enough so the girl's blade ripped through her school uniform and cut her chest with much less of an impact than was intended.

The girl ran.

To make things creepier, the night before the stabbing, the young girl cut a smile into her cheeks to look eerily like Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight."

Apparently, this troubled 14-year-old messaged her "friend" and told her she didn't care if people blamed the attempted murder on Columbine or the Joker.

The 14-year-old reportedly said,

They didn't inspire me, they motivated me.

Y'all creeped out or troubled by any of this? OK, thought it was just me for a minute.

The girl went on trial for attempted murder, and the jury learned the girl had become fixated with serial killers. For a school project, the girl looked into the "cool and edgy" styles of Richard Ramirez and Ted Bundy, two notorious serial killers.

In addition to the attempted murder, this individual reportedly planned a detailed school shooting in a journal she eventually burned. Sixty potential victims were reportedly listed as targets.

This girl also plotted to kill her mother and brother while they slept, New York magazine reports.

She reportedly told the jury,

A very big part of me was disgusted at what I was thinking. I didn't feel very much in control of what I was doing … I didn't want to, I felt I had to, I felt that within myself.

Wednesday, the jury deliberated for two hours and 45 minutes before returning with a guilty verdict on the charge of attempted murder. However, the judge did not pass a sentence or set a sentencing date.

The judge reportedly told the girl,

You are going to have to come back to be sentenced in a number of weeks. There are certain reports I need and one of them is a psychiatric report.

BRB, never leaving my apartment again.
