Michelle Obama's Response To Fan Asking Her To Run For President Gives Us Hope

Michelle, if you're reading this, I beg of you: PLEASE RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2020.

Seriously -- we need you.

Apparently, I'm not the only one who hopes the gracious first lady eventually takes a different seat in the White House after Donald Trump's term is over.

On Tuesday night, Michelle gave a speech at the White House about the issue of homeless veterans.

Moments after taking the stage and thanking the crowd, a fan in the audience screamed "Run for president!"

To our surprise, she didn't say "no."

Instead, she laughed after the remark and responded in a way that's given us a sense of hope for the future.

She said,

You be quiet back there.

She didn't say "no," guys!

SHE DIDN'T SAY "NO!"

I'm so happy I could cry.

However, President Obama has already stated his wife will never run for office.

While calling into SiriusXM's “Sway in the Morning" last month, he said,

She is as talented and brilliant a person as there is and I could not be prouder of her, but Michelle does not have the patience or the inclination to actually be a candidate herself. That's one thing y'all can take to the bank.

Michelle even stated in 2012 she wasn't interested in running for office.

Apparently, she said,

One of the things you learn about yourself as you get older are what are your strengths and what are your interests. And for me, it's other stuff, that is not being the president. So I probably won't run… There are so many ways that you can help this country and the world, even if you're not president of the United States.

But hey, 2012 was a long time ago. After this year's shit show of an election, maybe she changed her mind.

Either way, she has four whole years to decide.

Michelle Obama, we're rooting for you.
