Powerful Video Shows Officer Talking A Man Out Of Jumping Off A Bridge

A harsh spotlight recently shone on American police officers in the wake of multiple incidents concerning police brutality.

On Wednesday evening in Raleigh, North Carolina, a positive side of the force was displayed when an off-duty cop talked a man out of jumping off the edge of an overpass and comforted him.

CNN News posted a video of the event on Thursday, and even though viewers cannot hear what the officer says to the man, it is evident there is an honest, personal connection transpiring when the two men hug.

The compassionate moment came just in time for World Suicide Prevention Day, which occurred yesterday, and National Suicide Prevention Week.
