ABC News Reporters Made A Fake Crime Scene That Looked Janky AF

Listen, I get it. I guess I'm "technically" a reporter (not sure what to call someone who covers politics and breaking Kardashian news, so we'll go with reporter), and I also carry around police tape just in case I need to get a story.

Viewers tuned in to ABC News on Friday morning to watch live coverage of reporter Linsey Davis reporting from a crime scene in South Carolina.

The terrifying location was where a woman had been held captive in a storage container by a sex offender.

Except that crime scene tape was just a prop to make it look like Davis was at the real scene of the crime.

CNN obtained this photo that shows the truth.

The tape was used to make viewers believe that they were at the actual scene while the segment aired on "Good Morning America."

And ABC would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling anonymous sources that sent the photo to CNN.

ABC News has blamed the field producer for this faux pas. They said,

As soon as it was brought to our attention, we decided to take the producer out of the field, and we're investigating further.

The ABC News VP of Communication added,

This action is completely unacceptable and fails to meet the standards of ABC News.

We're just going to add this fuel to the fire of people who think mainstream media is lying to them.

Thanks, ABC... Now I'll have to explain to my relatives, once again, that the media is made up of idiots like me just trying to cover the story as truthfully as we can.

We are not run by the Illuminati! That is just a part of my own personal interest and in no way affects my work. By the way, have you noticed how many triangles I've hidden in these images? Tee-hee.
