The hypothetical presidential battle between Donald Trump and Kanye West in the 2020 election strangely just got very real.
After announcing to the world at the VMAs he's planning on running for office in five years, Yeezus has everybody's attention, but to be honest, I can't tell if he's being serious or nah.
One person who does believe him is none other than 2016 candidate Donald Trump. Not only is he hoping to run against Kanye, but Trump's recent comments make the two sound more like running mates.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Donald said,
He's actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday.
Kind words from a real assh*le, but you know if it came down to it, Trump would do his best to throw West under the bus. As for Kanye, you can't really predict what he'd do.
Just like the rest of America, Trump was watching the VMAs when he found out about Kanye's news, and he thinks it's a great idea. Trump said,
I was actually watching, I saw him [at the VMAs], and I said, 'That's very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea?'
By 2020, this country will be an even stranger place, and something like this won't surprise anyone.
