Chattanooga Shooting Results In Deaths Of 4 Marines And Lone Gunman

A lone gunman is dead after fatally shooting four Marines and injuring at least three others.

According to the Associated Press, the shootings occurred at a military recruiting office and a Navy Reserve center in Chattanooga, Tennessee around 11 am.

The gunman fired dozens of rounds outside the Armed Forces Career Center and the other shooting occurred about seven miles away, CNN reports.

By about 1 pm, the shooter had been shot dead, but it is not clear who killed him.

A soldier and a police officer who was shot in the ankle are among the injured, according to CBS News.

The severity of the soldier's injuries are unknown, but the officer appears to be in stable condition.
