Have you succeeded in fulfilling your dreams, or at least been on the right track? Have you turned into the type of person that you always hoped to be? If not, there is still time to become the person you always wanted to be. Life isn't over, until it's over, which means that you can completely stop this track and start a new one, right here and now.

You are the result of the life that you have lived up to this point. You experience something new with each passing day. You have been transformed, inspired, molded, broken down and built back up. Maybe you have always envisioned life happening in one particular fashion, but that dream just never came to fruition. It's okay, as life rarely ever goes as planned. The days ahead are not something that we could ever be fully prepared for, considering the unexpected surprises and curve balls that life throws our way. There are setbacks, there are problems and there are opportunities that you take chances on, which never follow through. So, how do we persevere through the ups and downs of life without being thrown off the path to prosperity?

The key to perseverance is acceptance. In order to stay steadfast in your goals and life plans, you have to accept that there are downfalls that cannot be prevented or changed. Your pursuit of happiness is not measured by the amount of falls you take, or even your final destination, but rather, it is measured by all that you achieve along the way to becoming who you always wanted to be. To press on to a better future and the best version of yourself, accept the past for what it is and understand that you have the ability to change the way you handle and experience the future.

You can rewrite your story. Not in reference to the past, but in terms of your future, you can turn yourself into the person you have always wanted to be by the decisions you make from here on out. Start now. Right from this moment on, make the only choices that align with exactly the person that you aspire to be and the goals that you hope to reach. Deliberate choices are the way to make a difference and make beneficial changes toward becoming the person you always hoped to be.

Have you not been the best version of yourself in the past? Have you not been as kind and appreciative to those who have supported you as you should have been? Have you given up on your goals and settled for a less satisfying career placement? It's easier than you might believe to change your path. Promise yourself to be the best version of you for each day forward. Promise to be grateful, rather than take for granted. Promise to find your true calling, rather than settle for what comes easily. Promise yourself to hold so strong in your virtues that nothing can throw you off track. It's not too late to make a change.

Whether you have found yourself in a totally wrong place in life, or you are really just dissatisfied with minor aspects, there are always things looming for most of us that we want to change. Turn these desired changes into affirmations. Set forth on becoming a new you, and stick to your objectives. Self-direction is the only way to change yourself and the undesirable circumstances of your current lifestyle. Make your dreams come true. Start today.
