Over the years we have heard many off-the-wall claims about the world suggesting truths that we have just learned to willfully accept. Similar to when people used to believe the world was flat, these are merely myths and misconceptions that are easily disproved.

Today these “facts” are less ridiculous but false nonetheless. These are the biggest myths of the 21st century.

10. A penny dropped from the Empire State building can't kill someone, but it would hurt.
