Learning your parents lied to you about Santa Claus is a memory we all repress deeper and deeper with each sip of spiked eggnog.

Belle, on the other hand, was not about to let her parents get away with dropping the Santa bomb.

The newly-jaded elementary school student slipped a note under her mom and dad's bedroom door, scolding them for delivering news that “ruined a 10-year-old's child's LIFE” and “BROKE [her] heart."

In the note, Belle desperately asked,

Is the easter bunny real, how bout the tooth fairy huh?

To thoroughly express her frustration and disillusionment, Belle expertly sketched three hands flipping the bird and, in case there was any confusion, labeled them “#middlefingeremoji.”

In a Facebook post, Belle's mother Nicki Adams explained,

Belle asked point blank about Santa and she's been asking every day. So we were truthful and she may never speak to us again......especially when we lost our ever loving sh*t at the pictures on the right that she slid under the door to us.

Belle's mother and father were able to subdue her rage, but they needed a moment to collect themselves first.

Adams told Huffington Post,

We had to move to the bathroom to have a good laugh before we talked to her about the notes… Within minutes of the note Belle was just fine! We spoke to her about the magic of Santa and how he lives in her heart. She now knows that it's her duty to be part of Santa's team and to help others believe and spread the magic of Christmas.

Don't let them talk you down, Belle. Never stop #middlefingeremoji-ing.
