Three Brothers Hilariously Recreate Childhood Photos 19 Years Later

Humor, nostalgia and seeing people embarrass themselves for your own entertainment are all essential elements in some of the most popular things you'll find online.

As a result, one of the best ways to reach Internet immortality (or, more realistically, a fleeting moment of acknowledgement from the anonymous masses) is recreating photos from your childhood decades after they were originally captured.

The brothers in these photos realized this (they referred to the reenactments as "that thing" in their original post), and they decided to take advantage after putting together a calendar for their mother and discovering they were sitting on an Internet goldmine.

Apologies in advance for the inexplicably terrible crop jobs on some of the pictures.

Blame them, not me.

Dad spent the last 19 years preparing his back for this exact moment.

The real star of this photo is the horse. It looks like it's barely -- or should I say BARLEY (I shouldn't) -- aged a day.

I know he was trying to recreate the picture, but I hope by now he's able to construct a much more accurate "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" costume.

That mustache is truly timeless.

It looks like whatever he's staring at back then has grown a few feet.

The sneakers aren't the same.

I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad grandma was still around to make her triumphant return.

It can take a little while to get accustomed to a new sibling. Sometimes it takes a long while.

The real star of this picture is the smallest Oriental rug in the entire world.

Either they've gotten bigger or the cooler's gotten smaller. I'm guessing the cooler is the culprit here.

I may have been incorrect in my previous assumption.

The brother on the right has really mastered his thousand-yard stare.

This is what real bonding looks like.
