15 Spring Break Trips Way More Memorable Than Being Drunk On A Beach

Spring break serves as the perfect excuse to get away for a little beachfront R&R... or gear up for the second half of the semester by partying your ass off for a week straight.

It just wouldn't be spring break without blacking out at a Señor Frog's at 3 pm and waking up extremely sunburnt on a nearby beach a few hours later.

However, it turns out there's more to spring break than funneling rum punch and making out with strangers at a crowded Cancun pool party.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think everyone should experience the typical spring break scene at least once in his or her lifetime.

But it's not a bad idea to branch out every once in a while and choose a spring break vacation off the beaten path.

Yep, as someone who's currently in her sixth year of undergrad (yeah, I'm basically the female version of Van Wilder), I can honestly say some of the popular student destinations are a bit overrated.

Whether you're looking to soak up some sun on a laid-back beach or live it up in a seaside city with a side of culture, there are lots of sunny locales you can visit instead of jetting off to the basic b*tch spring break spots.

Seriously, you won't be disappointed.

Take a look at the pictures below to see some alternative cities to visit during spring break.
