You know how it goes. You finally achieve that perfect smoky eye after 10,000 YouTube tutorial fails, and then it goes straight to the style grave as another makeup trend takes over.
Not too long ago, we showed you how beauty changed over the past 100 years.
But, ladies have been powdering their noses for way longer than just the past century.
Talented artist and author Lisa Eldridge recently set out to reveal the revolution of makeup over the past 5,000 years with her latest YouTube video, "Best and Worst Makeup Moments in History."
This fun clip was inspired by her new book, "Face Paint - The Story of Makeup," and in the video, Eldridge perfectly executes all sorts of ancient looks, from Egyptian eyeliner and signature Victorian styles to the more modern makeup trends of the 20th century.
