There are a lot of challenging situations we all have to face in life -- especially when it comes to the wonderful world of modern technology.
You have to deal with the issues of autocorrect fails, Netflix buffering, insanely long WiFi passwords and quite possibly the most frustrating problem of all: frayed phone chargers.
Yep, if there's one thing that will really put a damper on your day, it's going to plug in your dead iPhone only to realize you've broken yet another one of your crappy phone cords for the 10th time this month.
Sometimes I feel like all it takes is one little touch to make one of these delicate cords explode into a sh*t storm of frayed wires.
I mean, seriously, designing a darn cord doesn't sound like rocket science.
However, I'm starting to think that making a charger might actually be more difficult considering the fact that scientists have been more successful at putting people on the moon than they have been at creating a durable phone charger.
If you're one broken charger away from throwing your cell phone out the window and reverting back to landline telephones, I have some good news for you.
It turns out there's actually a ridiculously easy hack that will put an end to your charger struggles, and it only requires a pen plus 30 seconds of your time.
Check out the pictures below to see this easy phone charger hack.
First, grab your handy-dandy charger and a retractable ballpoint pen.
Unscrew the pen and remove the tiny spring located on the inside.
Then, wrap the spring around your phone charger cord and you're good to go! That little spring will prevent your phone cord from bending and breaking and ultimately turning into a nonfunctional, frayed mess.
Seriously, who knew it could be this simple?
