Guy Embraces Being A Third Wheel With This Epic Instagram Account

You haven't really lived until you are put in this type of awkward situation.

You know, the situation where you're stuck being the third wheel. You're hanging out with your two friends, except you're miserable because they happen to be dating.

You just sit there pounding shots at the bar and refreshing your Instagram feed.

Way too many people know this feeling all too well.

This 29-year-old man goes through it almost every day. His name is Peter Alden, and he works at a software startup in the Big Apple.

All seems well for Alden, but really, there's one little problem: He's still single.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are other single 29-year-olds in New York City. That's perfectly normal.

What's unfortunate for Peter is he and his brother share the same circle of BFFs.

Ben is dating one of Peter's best friends, Marissa Evans.

If you know anything about being a frequent third wheeler, you know you're often put in awkward situations.

I mean, it's kind of uncomfortable to sit idly while your brother sweet talks his girlfriend at dinner.

For Peter, however, it's an opportunity to snap a funny photo for his Instagram account.

He found a way to make third wheeling fun!

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Peter revealed, “I used to live with my brother. When they started dating I was always around.”

From then on, the three of them were best friends.

As the group started to hang out more, Peter began photobombing the couple's photos.

Since mutual friends and family thought the pictures were hilarious, Peter decided to take more for his Instagram account.

Luckily, Ben and Marissa don't seem to mind! In fact, now that they're engaged, Peter can photobomb the entire wedding party!

When asked what's next for him, Peter said, "Maybe I find myself a girlfriend… maybe they move away… maybe I'm a third wheel for life."

We'll just have to wait and see!
