Amazing 9-Year-Old Builds Shelters And Provides Food For The Homeless (Photos)
Even at a young age, one Washington-based 9-year-old found her way to make her mark in the world.
Meet Hailey Fort, a little girl who's doing something amazing to benefit the homeless in her community.
Hailey's working closely with her family to build shelters for those in need. During her free time, she constructs mobile shelters and even grows food for the less fortunate.
According to Bored Panda, when Hailey was just 5 years old, she saw a homeless man in her town of Bremerton, Washington. Shortly after, she asked her mother, Miranda, how she could help him.
That's when Miranda Fort and her daughter began working on Hailey's Harvest, a project hosted on GoFundMe that raises money so Hailey and the Fort family can continue their great efforts.
In a recent interview with King 5 News, Hailey explained,
It just doesn't seem right that there are homeless people. I think everyone should have a place to live.
Even at such a young age, this little gift to the world knows right from wrong!

When she was 5 years old, Hailey was walking with her mother when she spotted a homeless man.
That's when her mother decided to help Hailey create shelters and grow food for those in need.
With the help of her parents, Hailey created Hailey's Harvest.
From the foundation of the shelter to the insulation, Hailey does it all.
She builds shelters for them, grows food and supplies them with toiletries to keep themselves clean.
Hailey's Harvest managed to raise over $15,000 in just seven days.
It looks like Hailey will be able to continue helping the homeless.
This year alone, Hailey plans to grow about 250 pounds of food to give to the hungry. She also plans to build 12 shelters.
