Artist Reimagines What Disney Animals Would Look Like As Humans (Photos)

Disney is known for bringing animals to life in its iconic animated films.

But have you ever wondered what all of your favorite talking Disney critters would look like if they took on a human appearance?

Recently, one animator from Wisconsin named Pugletto set out to reimagine some of your beloved Disney characters as people while also introducing some diversity into the mix.

The inspiration for this awesome project actually came out of Pugletto's frustration regarding the lack of cultural variation among the characters in Disney films.

Pugletto told Cosmopolitan,

I was actually scrolling through Deviantart one day and just got really frustrated about the amount of Simbas with white skin and flowing red hair. The way I see it, is "The Lion King" is a story that takes place in Africa... [so] I reimagined the characters as humans the way they would look if they were from Africa.

Pugletto started off by recreating the cast of "The Lion King," and after receiving a lot of positive feedback, she expanded the series to include human renditions of animals from other Disney movies as well.

Take a look at the pictures below to see some of Pugletto's awesome Disney artwork.
