Blind Man And His Armless Friend Have Planted Thousands Of Trees In China (Photos)

Last week we introduced you to Simley, an adorable blind dog that has dedicated his life to helping others.

If you thought this selfless therapy pup was awesome, you'll be glad to know there are others out there who won't let a little disability hold them back from making the world a better place.

Meet Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi.

For the past 10 years, the duo has been giving mother nature a helping hand by replanting tons of trees to restore the desolate lands surrounding Yeli Village in China.

However, take one look at the two and you'll notice these guys aren't you average tree-hugging environmentalists.

In fact, these two dedicated humanitarians are both handicapped.

Despite their challenges, they haven't let these minor setbacks stand in the way of accomplishing their incredible evergreen endeavors.

If one thing is for sure, these badass BFFs serve as an inspiration to all and prove you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Meet Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi.

Haixia was born blind in one eye and lost his remaining eyesight in an accident

Wenqi is a double amputee who lost both of his arms as a child.

However, these BFFs don't let their disabilities get in the way of making the world a better place

A decade ago these two selfless samaritans leased 8 acres of land from the government...

And set out to restore the lands around Yeli Village in China by planting tons of trees.

To date, these guys have reintroduced over 10,000 trees to the barren land. Now, that is some serious dedication.

They start their tree planting endeavors at 7 am each morning...

And since they don't have money to purchase saplings, they use tree cuttings to replenish the land.

After climbing a couple trees to find cuttings..

Haixia then plants them in the ground.

Wenqi helps out by watering all of the saplings. Together, their tree-planting mission helps to protect the village from devastating floods.

Also, rumor has it, Haixia may receive surgery to remove his congenital cataracts, which would finally allow him to see all of the hard work he and his BFF have put into restoring these lands.
