Uzo Aduba's Emmy Acceptance Speech Will Make You Super Emotional (Video)

by Taylor Ortega

Uzo Aduba was put on this earth to make us feel strong emotions.

Had a hard day at work and need a laugh? Uzo Aduba.

Been your family's rock ever since grandpa died and need a heavy sob? Uzo Aduba.

At Sunday's Emmy Award ceremony, Aduba won her second consecutive award for her portrayal of Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on Netflix's “Orange Is the New Black,” and her speech made viewers feel emotions buried so deep in their subconscious, they haven't been accessed since childhood.

Exaggerations aside, Aduba wept with gratitude as she thanked her cast, crew, team, family, the network and the show's creator, Jenji Kohan, who has written and produced a number of popular shows with a strong female cast.

If you missed the ceremony, check out Aduba's speech below, but realize you'll probably end up sobbing on the phone to your sister.
