Tom Hanks Only Uses Twitter For One Thing: Posting The Lost Items He Finds

by Anna Menta

Nicolas Cage may have scored the role of Ben Gates, but I think we all know Tom Hanks is America's true national treasure.

Listen, Tom Hanks is 59 years old. Tom Hanks won two Academy Awards and was nominated for five. Tom Hanks is one of the top-grossing actors of all time. So, I think Tom Hanks gets a pass for not quite understanding how to use Twitter.

Last October, Tom Hanks attempted to return the ID of a Fordham University student by tweeting a picture when he found it.

Now, Tom took it upon himself to tweet out every lost thing he comes across in his daily life. Seriously, you guys, 90 percent of Tom Hanks's Twitter is just him reporting lost items, most of which are gloves.

Not going to lie, it's pretty freakin' adorable.

Tom Hanks is very dedicated to telling the world about this lost mitten/shoe/hat.

He is so concerned about all the cold hands out there, and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

"2 shadows, but just a single lost glove. Bittersweet." TOM!!!

Guys, I'm not lying, these last three tweets were all back to back from his Twitter. THIS IS ALL HE USES TWITTER FOR.

It's not just gloves! Tom also reports missing shoes.

If Tom sees a stray sock, you know he will tweet about it.

Here's a fork Tom Hanks found in the ocean. *Resists urge to make "Cast Away" reference*

But, of course, the true loves of his life are those lonely, lonely gloves.

Also, he signs every tweet with "Hanx." I really think I might be in love with him.

HE DOES IT ON WHOSAY, TOO!

Tom Hanks is an adorable old man on the Internet, and I love him very much. The end.
