The Mountain From 'Game Of Thrones' Once Ate 7 Chickens In One Sitting

by Adam Pliskin

The Mountain from "Game of Thrones" is a terrifying human being.

In the TV show, he crushed Oberyn Martell's skull with his bare hands. In real life, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is one of the strongest men in the world.

He holds several strongman records, and I'm sure he will continue his obscenely violent ways in the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones."

To become as big and as strong as Björnsson, one really must eat a ton of food. Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister on the show, confirmed this fact when he went on "The Daily Show."

Dinklage told Jon Stewart Björnsson once devoured seven roast chickens in one sitting. Dinklage ate dinner in Croatia with The Mountain and he astonished Dinklage with his freakish appetite.

You can hear Dinklage's version of the tale in the video above around the 4:26 mark.
