When it comes to being a social media influencer, there are a lot of ducks you should have in order to make the big bucks. But the two things you should definitely have going for you? Be a woman and be outrageously famous.
This useful information comes from a new report by measurement company D'Marie Analytics, which analyzed which celebrities and brands wield the most power on social media. You might be surprised to find that Selena Gomez ranks supreme on a top six list that looks something like this:
- Selena Gomez
- Kendall Jenner
- Kylie Jenner
- Beyoncé Knowles
- Taylor Swift
Wait a minute, Taylor Swift isn't number one but number six??
That may be shocking news, but on the uplifting side, women are absolutely crushing it when it comes to making bank on social media. According to analytics D'Marie reported back in December, powerhouses like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid make as much as $300,000 for one sponsored social media post.
Compared to Gomez, however, that's just spare change. The company says the pop star makes upwards of $550,000 when she posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to her 180.6 million followers, putting all of our selfies to shame.
