Are you a music lover? A festival junkie? Or just a sucker for a beach picnic with your friends?

Then the summer concerts held at the Santa Monica Pier are for you. Every Thursday, the pier hosts a show with a variety of artists. The concert ends at 10 pm and since you're right off the pier, you can walk right over to one of the many bars in the area and party with your friends.

Here are a few tips to make sure you have the best time ever.

Don't park by the beach.

Parking by the beach is not only a hassle, it's ridiculously expensive.

If you live in the area or have a friend who does, park your car by his or her place and get an Uber or Lyft. If you don't know anyone close by, get innovative and either ride your bike down or catch the bus. There are so many modes of transportation these days, I have no doubt you'll find a way to get creative and make it happen.

Snapchat away.

If you and your friends like to go all out, then make sure you snap those moments. You may get featured on the pier's screens and get to share your pics with the rest of the crowd. You'll definitely give people some major FOMO.

Coordinate before you get there.

The Santa Monica Pier concerts have only one major drawback, and it's that there are -9739 bars of cell service.

No, seriously, I got lost once and couldn't find my friends until the next day. This is why I suggest coordinating where you'll meet after the concert just in case you wander off and can't relocate your friends. Also, make sure to go with the group you plan on being with ahead of time. Finding anyone at the actual concert is like playing a game of Where's Waldo on crack. Generally speaking, nobody wins.

Pack a bunch of goodies.

It's a pier concert, yes, but it's also very much a giant picnic. Make sure you stop by a local grocery store or your favorite sandwich shop and grab some munchies. Nothing is better than posting up by the ocean with your closest friends or significant other with a ton of food in hand.

Bring a blanket or jacket.

If you plan on hanging out on the sand for a majority of the concert, make sure you bring something to keep you warm. I know you want to look all sexy for your potential crush who might be there or make your ex do a double take, but nothing is more brutal than freezing your tits off on the beach.

Don't worry about purchasing tickets because the whole thing is free. How rad is that? If you're over 21, bring your ID so you can stop in at a local bar, like the Bungalow, for a drink. It's a weird phenomenon, but all of the hottest babes and studs flock there after the concert. You might suffer from a slight hangover, but it's nothing a little coffee can't fix.
