Do Rachel & Eric Have Sex In The Fantasy Suite? Here's What We Know About The 'Bachelorette' Finale

If you had any doubts that The Bachelorette is the weirdest thing to ever happen to American television, allow me to direct your attention to the Fantasy Suites. In the last Bachelorette episode, Rachel Lindsay handed a fantasy suite card to Eric, as an invitation for him to spend the night with her and potentially have sex with her, if he so chooses. This is a real thing that happens on a real TV show! Millions of people are watching at home, trying to figure out if Rachel and Eric have sex!

So, but like... I mean... did they? Look, don't blame me for being curious, blame ABC for setting up this weird, voyeuristic situation in the first place. Hate the game, not the player!

So here are the facts: Rachel and Eric had a romantic date in Spain where Eric told Rachel he's in love with her. Rachel seemed pretty into it, and the morning after that date, Rachel said she and Eric took their relationship to "the next level." Now, that could mean a lot of things, and one of those things it could mean is sex!

But on the other hand, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week, Rachel did say she didn't "get intimate" with everyone she took the fantasy suites, and wouldn't confirm whether she did the deed with anyone at all.

Earlier Rachel said on her first official shoot in March,

Right as I stand here today, no [I don't see myself getting intimate with everyone in the fantasy suites]. But when you get in that moment, you just don't know. So we'll have to wait, watch and see, but no, I don't see that happening for me.

Now, in a more recent interview last week, Rachel said she "stayed true to her word."

She said,

I'm a woman of my word. I just said, I didn't do it with everyone. Fantasy suites were huge for me. I walked in with a list of questions I had. You can't cover everything with the limited amount of time you have. It's the first time you have extended time with this person, for me, it's like, if I'm taking the next step, I have a list of questions.

So it kind of sounds like Rachel and Eric just had a nice, non-sexual heart-to-heart with each other. How disappointing. Well, maybe things will got hotter and heavier with Peter and Bryan in the finale, next Monday at 8 p.m ET on ABC.
