Lea Michele is set to join the Broadway revival of Funny Girl as Fanny Brice. On July 11, the musical announced that Beanie Feldstein would exit the role on July 31 with her standby Julie Benko taking over through Sept. 4 before Michele joins on Sept. 6.

On July 11, it was announced Beanie Feldstein's last performance in 'Funny Girl' will be July 31.

A day earlier, on July 10, Feldstein announced her exit in a note on Instagram, where she expressed her “lifelong dream” of playing Brice and the “great joy” she’s had in the role.
