JK Rowling Announces It's Officially 'The Dawn Of The Age Of Hufflepuff'

by Gillian Fuller

In J.K. Rowling's iconic Harry Potter series, Gryffindor is the undisputed king of Hogwarts' four houses. Because the majority of the series' protagonists belonged to Gryffindor, "the house of the brave," it was the one we aspired to most; the one we believed was the best.

But Harry and the gang graduated long ago, and the times, they are a'changing.

In a tweet this morning, Rowling announced “the dawn of the Age of Hufflepuff.”

This announcement comes on the heels of the Hufflepuff's recent House Cup victory, announced on the Pottermore Twitter account early this morning.

So, stand tall, dear Badgers: It's your time to shine.

This is starting to feel like the dawn of the Age of Hufflepuff... #FantasticBeasts https://t.co/j4kj2nYurr — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 9, 2015
