'Game Of Thrones' Director Says Celebs Try To Bribe Her For Cameos
I love "Game of Thrones." You love "Game of Thrones." Hell, I don't chill with anyone who doesn't love "Game of Thrones."
Apparently, quite a few A-list celebrities also love "Game of Thrones."
According to reports, there are plenty of celebrities who want to make a cameo appearance on the HBO hit, and some are even going as far as to bribe a show director.
"GOT" casting director Carla Strange reportedly said she gets plenty of "gifts" from celebrities who want to take a trip to Westeros.
In an interview with the Metro, Strange said,
We get really strange things and letters and emails from people trying to get our attention. 365 days a year.
OK, first off, who is sending these crazy gifts? Who of the Hollywood elite want a ticket to the Seven Kingdoms so badly they're willing to pay for it?
Well, Strange wouldn't say who has been courting the HBO directors like a lovestruck teenager, but she did reveal some of the items that have been offered up in exchange for a cameo appearance on "Game of Thrones."
Speaking with the Metro, the casting director said,
One person sent playing cards where every playing card has their face on it doing a different emotion. Really classy.
Um, worst bribe ever?
Strange continued,
Someone even sent me a Stormtrooper with a sticker of themselves on it. I've had people send Kit Kats. You get very random things in the post.
Hollywood celebs, what are you doing?!?!
Playing cards, a Stormtrooper and a pack of Kit Kats wouldn't get you into my shitty apartment to watch NFL RedZone on Sunday, let alone a cameo appearance on the greatest show of all time.
I mean, step your damn game up. If you want to rub elbows with Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister, you're going to have to work a hell of a lot harder than a pack of cards and Kit Kats.
