Oops! Theater Surprised Kids With 'Insidious: 3' Instead Of 'Inside Out'

"Inside Out" and "Insidious" might sound similar, but they are very different movies.

Parents and children in Middletown, Ohio found this out the hard way when "Insidious: Chapter 3" played at what was meant to be a screening of Pixar's "Inside Out."

The parents in the Danbarry Cinemas theater realized what was going on, but it was already too late; the kids sat through the terrifying beginning of the film.

One perturbed parent reportedly wrote on Facebook,

I got our money back but the damage is already done… my children are terrified and keep asking questions.

This all sounds like an unfortunate accident, potentially scarring some kids for life.

But damn, I would have loved to be in that movie theater.
