The Marvel universe just got a little bit smaller.
Guys, if you're having a rough day, cheer up it's Friday! But if knowing that the weekend is closing in isn't boosting your spirits, then let Vin Diesel blow your f*cking mind.
And if you happen to be as literal as Drax from "Guardians of the Galaxy," I don't actually mean he's going to explode your cranium. I just wanted to clarify that and avoid and all legal issues.
Vin, the man who is Groot, let it slip that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be in the next "Avengers" movie, "Infinity War."
I'm officially hooked on a feeling and high on believing you, Vin!
According to Screen Rant, Vin let the news slip on his Facebook live stream, which has 100 million followers. He excitedly told fans,
Next year you've got 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' coming and that whole concept started from you all saying 'when are you gonna be in a Marvel movie?' And you remember the first picture after that Marvel meeting that I had where I was standing [with] the 'Avengers' thing in the back – some of you can look up that picture…there was this old 'Avengers' copy that was behind me in that picture if you look back on my Facebook page you can find that. What's gonna be surreal is that picture is going to come to pass because now the Guardians will be included in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and that's incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page you knew before everybody.
I hope Star-Lord and Iron Man become friends, seeing as how they have very similar get-up, don't you think? Maybe Tony Stark will sue Peter Quill for copyright infringement. Who knows?!
Also, this means we're going to see our favorite Guardians in 2016 and then again in 2017.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is slated to come out on May 5, 2017, while "Infinity War" will be released nearly a year later to the day on May 4, 2018.
And if that doesn't perk your Friday night up, then you're as moody as Rocket Raccoon.
